The owners of this solidly built and sprawling Arts and Crafts estate, wanted an update to its tired 1990s interiors. To create more intimate rooms, we broke the expansive hallways into more memorable spaces, sometimes with doors and arches, often with color and wallpaper, creating an approachable rhythm.  We softened the scale of  each of the rooms via the use of warm tones, plush textiles, and vintage pieces full of character. Carefully curated to complement the homeowners' impressive art collection, the eclectic mix of old and new helped to create a welcoming, lived-in atmosphere.
